Mintech Development Sandbox
The Mintech Development Sandbox is the environment where new telecom capabilities, protocol enhancements, and product innovations are tested before deployment to the live network. It functions as the forward development zone of the ecosystem, allowing the engineering team to trial changes in a controlled environment without risking the stability or performance of production traffic.
In a network that processes live international voice traffic for a significant amount of carrier partners, deploying untested changes directly to production is not an option. The Sandbox provides an isolated environment where new routing algorithms, protocol updates, MRT optimisation logic, Jingle Plug-In enhancements, and MFC compatibility extensions can be built, tested, and validated against real-world conditions before they reach the live infrastructure.
The Sandbox also supports the development of new products and services within the Mintech technology family. The upcoming developer toolkit announced alongside the new Minutes Network website and explorer will offer direct access to the Revenue Turbine, optimised global routes for voice, SMS, and numbering, and a suite of APIs built to leverage the full technology stack. These capabilities are developed and stress-tested within the Sandbox environment before being made available to developers and enterprise customers.
As the network scales into new countries, acquires additional LDI licenses, and integrates new application partners through the Jingle Plug-In, the Sandbox ensures that each expansion is technically validated before going live. This includes testing new carrier interconnections, verifying protocol compatibility in new markets, and confirming that Validation Node quality checks operate correctly for new destinations.
This section of the wiki will be expanded as the developer toolkit, network explorer, and API documentation are released publicly.
